Frequently Asked Questions for Subcontractors working with RALCO
General
What is RALCO?
RALCO is a comprehensive time tracking and risk management tool designed specifically for the New York City (NYC) construction industry. It ensures adherence to the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) regulations by integrating compliance checks directly into the clock-in process. RALCO is uniquely both time tracking & compliance software. We combine both elements in the clock-in process to ensure that DOB’s minimum compliance on SST cards & daily pre-task plans are met.

As a contractor, you can:
- Onboard your workers before they arrive on site, allowing them to get started working faster
- Access and maintain a database of your workers including their workers hours, the pre-shift meetings that they’ve signed & any customisable data that you need to store e.g. ICAP requirements
- Review reports of all your active workers onsite – delineate from those onsite, from those that are onsite and haven’t signed their pre-task plans.
- Review the activity of workers employed by your sub-tier subcontractors
Why am I being required to sign up?
The owner, general contractor, and/or construction manager on the project is using RALCO to manage worker onboarding, site access, and labor visibility. To ensure accurate data across all project participants, your contract requires that you use RALCO to manage your workers for this project. Fulfilling this requirement is a prerequisite for all contractors and their employees to access the site.
Pricing
How much will RALCO cost for subcontractors?
RALCO requires each subcontractor’s employees accessing a job site to be ‘active users’
RALCO works on a ‘Billable Active User’ model. A billable active user is defined as any user that has ‘clocked in’ within the 30 day billing period.
Each Billable Active user is charged at $12. Please see RALCO pricing

How do I sign up?

From here, we’ll have a call with you to go through the steps involved to onboard you, including showing you how to custom build RALCO to obtain the data that you need to make your jobsite and organisation more efficient.
Billing
How often will I be billed?
You will be billed for your Billable Active Users (as defined under Pricing above) at the end of each month.
How do I pay?
You can pay by credit card or wire transfer, with 30 day net terms.
What happens if I am delinquent on payments?
If you are overdue making a payment, you will no longer have the ability to onboard your workers into RALCO in advance or see their daily site activity. Under certain circumstances, your workers may lose access to the jobsite and new workers will not be onboarded until payment has been received.
How do I onboard my workers?
After our onboarding call, we will show you & give you step-by-step instructions on how to add workers to the platform.
When you sign up for RALCO, you will receive a custom URL which you can use to enter your workers’ information. RALCO provides professional services for contractors who prefer to bulk upload their workers to Excel.
What information is needed to add a worker to RALCO?
At a minimum, you will need the worker’s full name, date of birth, phone number. You can also customize this form to collect whatever information is relevant to you on the job/company such as: pay rate, gender, race, skills etc for you to then report on.
Can I use RALCO for my workers on other jobsites (even if the other Projects are not using RALCO)?
Yes. RALCO works best when used uniformly across your company to streamline your payroll & compliance process.
Managing Subs
If I’m using subs on this project, do they have to sign up for RALCO?
Subs reach out to RALCO to onboard, RALCO provides access to the platform for General contractors to oversee their sites.
Can I see the worker information of my subs?
Yes, you will be able to see the activity of any worker employed by your directly contracted subs.
Data & Reporting
What information will I have access to?
RALCO’s unique customizable reporting allows to configure reportings. You don’t need to be a data scientist to use RALCO’s People Analytics. Our customizable reporting includes easy to understand real-time employee data such as clockins, headcount, pay rate, accreditations, signed daily pre-task plans and more.
Our customisable payroll reporting ensures that you have a seamless data flow to your payroll provider by matching RALCO’s data fields to their data fields. Create, schedule, and share reports in a few clicks using RALCO’s pre-built reports template. Need a special report? No problem. Use any data in RALCO to create your own custom reports for any time period, using data from across the platform.
Want to dig deeper? Filter the results to view by site, department, gender, age, and more. RALCO’s People Analytics, you can seamlessly create detailed data-driven reports to present at your next management meeting or to make better, more data driven decisions about your workforce.
